32MB Grafikkarte und trotzdem nur 16 Farben?Warum?!

Hab mir nen neuen PC gekauft,Windows 2000 installiert,usw. Jetzt hab ich aber das Prob das ich in der Einstellung(Anzeige)nicht Umstellen kann von z.B. 16 auf High Color.Über dieser Anzeige steht nur Standardmonitor VGA.
Kann ich da was umstellen oder so?

Win 2000 is da nicht so luxus wie win XP.
Man muss sich die treiber alle selber installieren...
ansonsten kann auch ne radeon 9800 XT nur 16 farben...
