RS 125 Bj.2002

Hab ich grad bei Aprilia.com gefunden...
So sieht also das neue Modell nächste Jahr aus:

Und hier der dazugehörige Text:
"New graphics for the absolute leader in the European 125 sports market: world championship technology in a standard product. New EURO 1 catalysed exhaust.

APRILIA RS 125

A proposal destined to reinforce the absolute leadership of this motorbike, Europe’s best selling road sports model. The Aprilia RS 125 offers the enthusiast all the best available on the market in terms of components, instrumentation and technical features. The fundamental characteristic of the Aprilia RS 125 is without doubt its sporty lines. Aggressive, decisive, capable of expressing dynamism and lightness in a personal and distinctive style which translates Aprilia’s Italian passion for sport into a faithful copy of the World Speed Championship bike.

The aerodynamics of this motorbike are truly remarkable. The fruit of studies and testing in a wind tunnel, they guarantee absolute protection and minimum air resistance, offering a series of advantages from lower consumption to overall optimisation of performance.

As well as helping to increase the aerodynamics, the tail also offers a spacious under-saddle compartment, complete with extremely light saddle mount and passenger saddle integrated into the tail, designed specifically to avoid modifying the clean and essential lines of the motorbike, while offering comfort and safety.

The fairing and front shield enable the speed performance of this motorbike to be exploited to the full, helped by the hand guards totally integrated into the fairing and elimination of even minimum turbulence for the rider. The front mudguard is also perfectly in line with the bodywork.

The front headlight has a double multifocal bulb, giving the motorbike a decidedly original and fascinating appearance. Of course, as well as its looks, the headlight also guarantees excellent visibility.

The five spoke design of the wheels guarantees a sporty ride, lightness as well as reliability and safety.

The petrol tank, holding a full 14 litres, offers exceptional riding range, while its design guarantees perfect rider/motorbike integration.

For 2002, this motorbike will be available in two colour combinations, both of clearly racing inspiration.

The extensive work carried out in the wind tunnel to improve the motorbike’s overall coefficient of penetration and aerodynamics, has enabled the performance of the two-stroke 125 cc liquid-cooled engine to be optimised. A fundamental role in terms of performance, safety and comfort is played by the suspension. The Aprilia RS 125 can count on a 40 mm diameter upside-down hydraulic front fork adjustable in preload and with wheel travel of 120 mm. A plus transferred directly from the experience gained in the Aprilia 125 Challenge Trophy.

The rear suspension has a single hydraulic shock absorber. This is also the fruit of racing experience and is adjustable in preload.

The safety system on the side stand is extremely important. A switch and an indicator light on the dashboard prevents the motorbike being started up and ridden off with the stand down or when in gear.

The aluminium silencer is an integral part of the lines of the motorbike, guaranteeing exceptional efficiency in terms of performance and low noise levels. In full respect of EURO 1 limits, the RS 125 is fitted with a catalysed exhaust.

The frame with aluminium alloy perimeter beams provides exceptionally high torsional rigidity and a design which has now become a precise standard for all competitors. Once again, experience and know-how transferred from the circuit to the road and everyday use make Aprilia stand out for its characteristic quality, technology and safety.

The differentiated design of the elements of the aluminium alloy swingarm give this motorbike the best torsional rigidity among 125 cc standard motorbikes.
