ICQ Problem mit Visual C++

Da ich weiss, dass wir das schon hatten, habe ich die Suchfunktion benutzt, allerdings erfolglos.

Also ne Freundin hat das Problem, dass sie in ICQ ständig diese Fehlermeldung angezeigt bekommt:

Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\PROGRAMME\ICQ\ICQ\EXE
abnormal program termination

ICQ funktioniert auch nicht mehr richtung, sondern Meldet sich nach 1-2 Minuten wieder ab. Was ist jetz dagegen zu tun? Neu installieren? Oder lässt sich das beheben?

ich bin mir nicht mehr sicher aber es hat glaub ich geholfen die ältere Version zu installieren.

es kann auch sein, daß du ein anderes Programm installiert hast, was eine neure/andere Version der visual c++ runtime-library installiert hat, welche zu der bei ICQ verwendeten Variante in gewissen Dingen inkompatibel ist. Die Library heißt MFCXY.dll, wobei X und Y die Version bezeichnen. Welche du in welcher Variante und Version (und davon gibts einige) brauchst --> k.A.
und ob's überhaupt hieran liegt --> auch k.A. --> nur eine Anregung...
